My name is Paul Walker, I'm 44 years old from Manchester, where I co-direct Fred Aldous Ltd. My ambition to participate in the London Marathon was sparked by Hugh Brasher, the Event Director, whose stories of the event's impact and spirit motivated me to apply year after year. It was the work of United Response, particularly their dedication to aiding those with dementia that resonated with me personally after my father-in-law's diagnosis and led me to secure my place through their charity slot.

Instead of solely seeking donations, I reached out to some artist friends for contributions of work, creating a collection of prints and merchandise to raise funds. I am immensely thankful to every artist who responded, enabling us to support a cause that means so much to many.
